LEADER. It is a title given to an individual who is worthy to accept responsibilities, sacrifice self necessities, and lend time and effort for a group or an organization’s improvement. However, despite all of those, there is still something more important. A leader embraces the duty of serving his followers and uplifting his members’ ego. Leaders not just command his team but instead they are the ones who work first, step first, dream first, and act first on their teams way towards achieving their vision.

LEADERSHIP is an art. It takes years of experiences and exposure to mold a person to become a leader and a leader to become the best leader. It is a fact that leaders aren’t born; environmental forces such as the community, the family, and the school and seminar experiences develop this leader within ourselves. We all possess this trait; we just need to develop it. Let us use it for empowering more individuals and creating other leaders.
As LEADERS, we have the burden. However, we should not look upon it as a burden but in fact as a privilege to hold the responsibilities of being a leader. This also accounts to the team members who help us carry this rock of responsibility given to us. By this kind of leader-member interaction, a harmonious working force can exist. Therefore, you don’t move as single individuals, you move as a single body.
We should be advocates of devoted leadership and not demanding leadership. We must make our members love what they are doing and motivate them to do what they thought they couldn’t. We must not be afraid of failure, from every failure we learn, and then you succeed. Do not look upon problems negatively. We cannot deny that problems can arise anytime, but that doesn’t matter. All that matters is that we know how to handle the situation and how we can deal with it.
A leader must have a vision that is realistic and possible; something that can be achieved and is of course, beneficial. A leader must be creative. Try sure and alternative thinking. Expand your imagination. There are many ways to reach your vision. Try to acknowledge or recognize your member’s efforts. By this, they can be more persevering in pursuing their tasks. A good sense of humor could also help and make it all work. Giving the group members a little comic relief during haggard and time-pressured activities can make the work easier.
Leaders are role models, good followers, and potential comedians. They should possess an overall package of traits to be an effective leader. A leader stands behind his members during the good times and stands in front during risk-taking times. That is a leader and that is what I should be.
