Experience is a great teacher.
Another fruitful day has come and had also come to an end. However, the memories will never vanish. This very day was the most tiring but then root of all learning, fun and realizing the true meaning of leadership and friendship as well. Starting with the first session, that is sharing of all memories and experiences from the past workshop day that was conducted. The first activity that we had was entitled “The Last Five Passengers.” From this activity, I have learned that decision making will always be one of the key to a very triumphant organization. Followed next is the discussion of how a project proposal was made and its structure. Then, Kuya Ryan grouped us accordingly into four with three members each. This project proposal making activity has consumed most of the day’s hours. With this activity, I’ve learned that sharing one’s ideas and suggestions are of great help in order to achieve the best output we could have. I’ve never been with my group mates before and never had a moment to be close with them. This activity made us know better each other inside the closed door hall and to bond with them at the same time. After making our group’s proposal which is the Annual Youth Watershed Awareness Convention (AYWAC), they’d given us a few minutes to rest and afterwards let us have a game. This game taught us how to make strategies as to cope with the challenges, may it be simple or complex. It was such a great fun. Being brainstormed by the previous game, we immediately went to the presentation of our proposed project for our region. Fortunately, our group really appreciated the uplifting words of our audience. Presenting was a bit embarrassing, but then it was enjoyable.
To sum up this day’s happenings, I really don’t have something to say but I’ve learned that the difference of experience gathered from the books, though often valuable, is but the nature of learning; whereas the experience gained from actual life like this LTS is one of the natures of wisdom.
